Edward Helbling
President/ Inventor/CEO
Born September 6, 1947, in Germany. My parents, Arthur and Stefanie Helbling, were Holocaust survivors. My family and I migrated to the state of Israel in 1949. At the age of two, my brothers and I were enrolled in a French missionary school. We learned to speak French, Hebrew, Polish, and Russian. My father worked on the Negev Desert, assembling and building giant diesel engines for pumping out water from five thousand feet successfully to irrigate the desert. Occasionally, he’d take us to his site and see what he was doing. We were amazed by the immense size of these engines. My father was a perfectionist, so I became like him. In 1956, we immigrated to the U.S.A. My father re-united with his brother in New York City. I was again amazed by seeing the Statue of Liberty, and my heart pounded at the opportunities I felt. At times, I reflect on my journey and look back at how far I’ve come to be an American. We were poor at the time, so I needed to contribute to the family, so after school I started working when I was sixteen. I entered the HVAC industry in 1966 at the age of 18, and I retired in 2011. My claim to fame is the ability to network, manage, and complete operations on many multimillion-ddollar projects. My HVAC business skills and experience generated over $400 million in sales by 2011. My ambitious goals led me to become one of the largest and most respected H.V.A.C. contractors in my geographical area of New York.
