Patent ATTORNEY
He began practicing as a patent attorney in 1992. Prior, John worked as an electrical and computer engineer in sonar-related technology (ASW) from 1984 through 1989. To support these practices, John relies on a BSEE from New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering (1987) and a J.D. degree from New York Law School (1992).
John is admitted to the N.Y. and N.J. State Bars, the Eastern District of N.Y., the District Court in Newark, N.J., the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (C.A.F.C.), and the N.Y. State Court of Appeals. John is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office) (Reg. No. 36,299), was the 2015 Chair for the Long Island Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), is presently the chapter chair of IEEE’s Committee for Legal Affairs, IEEE’s Society for Engineering in Medicine and Biology (EMBS), co-chair of IEEE’s Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT), and is presently the co-chair of the Intellectual Property Law Committee for the Suffolk County Bar Association (2019-2020).
